CREEKSIDE CANINE TRAINING CENTER

Looking for effective and reliable dog training in Southeast Kentucky? Our individualized, breed-specific, and science-based methods will help create a strong partnership with your dog. Each dog is trained with the same care and attention as if it were my own. Discover the difference with us today!

Using a reward-based scientific approach to dog training, I use my knowledge of animal behavior, canine body language, classical conditioning, and other training techniques to tailor a behavior modification program specifically for your dog based on its breed, energy, and lifestyle.

Puppies must be 12 weeks old with their first two rounds of shots, including the kennel cough vaccine, 5-in-1 (DHLPP), and rabies once they are over six months old.

Puppy Preschool & Day Training not enough?

Boot Camp Training Programs
My Boot Camps are a premium option for owners who want lasting results and are ready to be actively involved in the process. Dogs stay with me Monday through Friday for structured, focused training, and return home each weekend to enjoy family time. This approach keeps the bond strong between you and your dog while allowing for intensive skill-building during the week.

These programs are not a quick fix — they require your commitment, both financially and in follow-through at home. If you’re looking for a “drop them off and get them back trained” shortcut, this is not the right fit. My goal is to train your dog and equip you to maintain those results long-term.

Boot Camps are $500 per week. I do not take on aggression or reactivity cases.

While I no longer offer traditional 24/7 board-and-train services, I do accept sports dogs or retrieving foundations in either a Board & Train or Stay & Train format if they aren’t local. Board & Trains are $600 per week and are accepted on a case-by-case basis only.

I currently offer three Boot Camp options:

🐾 Puppy Boot Camp (3–4 Weeks)
For puppies under 6 months old. My most popular program — an accelerated version of my Puppy Preschool curriculum with added public outings, advanced leash work, and stronger reinforcement. We focus on building solid foundations in basic commands, manners, and leash skills. Ideal for families whose schedules don’t allow for weekday training drop-offs.

🐾 Leash Skills Boot Camp (3 Weeks)
For dogs who struggle on leash — pulling, ignoring cues, or overreacting to distractions. We work on engagement, stopping pulling, teaching the heel position, and maintaining neutrality around distractions.

🐾 General Obedience & Manners Boot Camp (5 Weeks)
For dogs over 6 months old. This program requires owner participation — we will meet weekly either in person or virtually to discuss progress, troubleshoot challenges, and practice techniques. Owners must also come in person at least once or twice during the program to work hands-on with their dog. Skills include recall, sit, down, place, heel, leash manners, and polite greetings without jumping.

G💚DT Therapy Dogs

Therapy Dog training is a cause close to my heart! Dogs can heal the heart and the mind with their love.

I have trained several therapy dogs that have done specialized training with me, taken their AKC Canine Good Citizen Test under me, and then gone on to take and pass their TDI Therapy Dog Exams. Some of these dogs are personal pets that go into schools and hospitals. Others are “resident” dogs at nursing home facilities.

I’m currently the trainer for the University of the Cumberlands (in Williamsburg, Kentucky) Therapy Dog Program. Oakley (Pictured Right) worked with me doing private weekly sessions and was ready to take his TDI after 4 months. He now serves as the Goodest Patriot on UC’s campus. You can find Oakley walking campus, getting all kinds of pets during finals, or lounging in the psych counseling building. In addition to Oakley, UC is adding another Therapy Dog in Training Dixie who is working with me!
